JM Northern Media presents the seventh annual DIY Book Festival to recognize noteworthy self-published books.

Prizes: $1,500 cash and a flight to Los Angeles for the awards ceremony

Eligibility: Self-published or independent publisher titles in 18 categories, published on or after January 1, 2005

Entry Fees: Send one (1) copy per submission, along with the applicable fee:

Poetry - $10/submission
Unpublished short story - $25/submission
Other books - $50/submission


Deadline: Postmarked by September 25, 2008


2008 Hollywood Book Festival

JM Northern Media presents the second annual Hollywood Book Festival to generate attention for books worthy of consideration by the entertainment industry.

Prizes: The Author of the Year will receive $1,500 and a flight to Los Angeles for the awards ceremony. The winning book will be distributed to Hollywood contacts, including agents, directors, and producers. Design of the Year, Publisher of the Year, and the best book in each of the 13 categories will also be recognized


Eligibility: Published, self-published, and independent publisher titles


Entry Fee: $75/submission. Send one (1) copy of the book per category

The awards program will be held on June 27, 2008 at the Algonquin Hotel.
